Greenfield – Alan W. Haltom “Electric Al”, age 71, of Greenfield, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. He was born in Clinton, Indiana on October 19, 1950 to John and Mabel (Chaney) Haltom. He graduated from Greenfield High School in 1967. Mr. Haltom studied music at Ball State University following high school graduation.
He worked as a songwriter, musician, guitarist, and entertainer his entire life. His main goal in life was to make people smile and laugh.
He is survived by his sons; Alan (Deanna) Haltom II, Eric Haltom, and Anthony (Marnissa) Haltom; brother Bruce Haltom; grandchildren Shaylea, Kayla, Wesley, Abby, and Ryan; and great-grandson Greyson. He was preceded in death by his parents, listed above, and brother, John C. Haltom.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A Celebration of Life and time for sharing memories will begin at 1:00 p.m. following the visitation. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
