Adrienne Louise Eide was born in Bellingham, WA on August 7, 1934 and passed away on March 8, 2023 in Tacoma, WA where she briefly lived at GenCare senior facility near her daughter. She was born to Harold and Frances (Smith) Hill, and lived first in Concrete, WA, then Anacortes, WA from 1935 - 1937, then Longview, WA until her graduation from R.A. Long High School in 1952. She had one younger sister, Romona (Thornburgh).
Her musical talents in flute, piccolo, piano, organ, and choral singing led her to attend Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR where she majored in music education in 1956. She obtained her Masters in Music Education from University of Idaho in 1971, then went on to teach elementary music in the Beaverton, Oregon School District. She played in numerous orchestras and ensembles and was President of the Northwest Music Educators National Conference. Her love of mountain climbing took her to the top of all the major peaks in the Pacific Northwest.
Adrienne raised her three children in Beaverton, Oregon where she met the love of her life, Keith Eugene Eide. They married May 28, 1983 and moved to Anacortes, WA, where they built their dream home on the waterfront, taught in the public schools, founded the North Cascades Community Band, sailed the PNW waterways, and traveled the world.
Adrienne is survived by her three children, Clark Harris, Elaine Rocheford, and Jeffrey Harris and her four step-children, Judd Eide, Gail Vanderhoof, Kevin Eide, and Keith Eide in addition to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
