Adolfo Cuevas, Sr., 69, of Lubbock, Texas passed away June 3, 2022.
Adolfo was born March 29, 1953, in Lubbock, TX to Juan Cuevas and Victoria Cuevas.
Adolfo Cuevas Sr. was tough, we never thought death could get him. He survived brain surgery, heart surgery, a transplant, and all who knew him said this one thing about him, "that old man will be at all our funerals." Adolfo met his wife Carmen in November of 1975 and the two were married in January 24, 1976. It was at this point Adolfo joined the Marine Corps and this part of his identity always stuck with him. He and Carmen had five children: Erlinda, Adolfo and Adelina (twins), Jose, and Patricio Cuevas. He lived in Lubbock his whole life and did the best he could. He was loved and will be missed, SEMPER FI MARINE.
Loved ones include spouse Carmen Cuevas; son Patrick Cuevas; son Jose Cuevas; daughter Erlinda Salas; son Adolfo Cuevas, Jr.; daughter-in-law Nikki Cuevas; Grandaughters: Gabriela Cuevas, Arianna Salas, Alyssa Cuevas, Natalia Salas, and Mikala Cantu. Grandsons: Isaac Cantu, Zacharias Cuevas, Christopher Salas, Josiah Cuevas, Xander Cuevas, Landry Cuevas and Sylvester Martinez. Great-grandsons: Sylvester Martinez Jr., Maximus Martinez, and Malakai Martinez. Great grandaughters: Izabella Cantu, Aubrey Salas, and Ezlyn Cuevas. Brothers JImmy and Luz Cuevas. Sisters Emelia Luera, Vincenta Cuevas, and Socorro Cuevas.
Preceded in death by Juan Cuevas (Father), Victoria Cuevas (Mother), Adelina Cuevas (Daughter), Brothers: Jerry Cuevas, Angel Cuevas, and Juan Cuevas Jr., Nephews: Jerry Cuevas Jr. and Jessie Cuevas Sr.
Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Home Thursday, June 09, 2022, 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. A celebration of his life will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 10, 2022, in Sanders Memorial Chapel with Pastor Lee Williams officiating. Graveside services will follow in City of Lubbock Cemetery.
