A true native Texan, Doris Adene Hyman Estepp passed from her earthly home to eternal peace on June 16, 2022 at Oaks Nursing Center in Burnet, Texas.
Adene was born in Oatmeal, Texas to Barney Washington Warwick and Sally Smith Warwick on February 7, 1924. She was the youngest of 11 children and spent time working in the fields with her siblings. All of Adene's brothers and sisters have preceded in death, J.A., Winifred, Thomas, Eva, Ethel, Sadie, Frances and 3 children in infancy.
Adene graduated from Oatmeal School on Friday and married Clarence H. Hyman on June 2, 1941. Four children were born to Clarence and Adene.
Clarence passed away in 1977. Adene then married J T. Estepp.
Adene was a charter member beginning the EMS along with her son, Jerry Hyman. She was trained as an LVN at the Allen Clinic.
Adene was preceded in death by husband Clarence Hyman and J T. Estepp and two children, Jerry Allen Hyman and Davy E. Hyman.
Survivors include her son, Dewayne Hyman and his wife Charlotte of Bertram and daughter, Doris Ann O'Fell of Burnet. Daughter-in-law, Judy Hyman of Wimberley, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren along with a host of friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Bertram on Sunday June 26, 2022 at 1:00 pm with a visitation following the service.
