On November 3, 2022 God called back one of his angels, Adeline (Pittore) Prisco, 87, who succumbed from complications of dementia at Concord Hospital with her loving and devoted husband, Al, of 67 years by her side.
Born in Roslindale, MA on March 13 1935, to the late Arthur and Concetta (Verillo) Pittore, Adeline spent her childhood in Jamaica Plain attending Our Lady of Lourdes grammar school and Saint Mary's High School in Brookline where she was an honor student during her freshman and sophomore years. Unfortunately, Adeline had to leave school to help support her family. This proved to be a blessing as she met her future husband Al working at Rust Craft Greeting Card Publishing Co. in Boston.
On September 10, 1955 Al and Adeline were married at Our Lady of Lourdes in Jamaica Plain. After marrying the newlyweds spent their honeymoon in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Upon returning, the couple moved into an apartment at Al's grandmothers' home where they spent the next eight years starting and growing their family of four children. While things were not easy in the beginning Al, Adeline and the children, without many material possessions, lived a rich life full of love.
In 1963, Al and Adeline purchased their first home in Stoughton, MA and immersed themselves in their community over the next 26 years. Adeline joined the West Stoughton Civic Association where she organized family outings, social events and fundraising. She was also involved with WSCA Children's Bowling League and Stoughton Hockey Club and the Daughters of Italy. During this time she met her lifelong friends and cherished those relationships and the times they spent together.
Al and Adeline spent their retired years in Easton, MA (12 years) and Henniker, NH (21 years) where they spent time with family and friends. They drove throughout the United States a total of ten times, only missing North Dakota. The one thing she loved most while traveling was visiting zoos, as her love of animals was unmatched.
Adeline loved to laugh and could light up a room with her sparkling eyes and her warm and radiant smile. A kind gentle soul, Adeline never found fault, never complained, and never saw others in a negative light. She devoted herself to being a loving wife to her husband Al, and a nurturing and devoted mother to her four children. She possessed an unconditional love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren who, in turn, adored her.
Adeline was predeceased in death by her parents and her brothers Peter Pittore, Edward Pittore and Alfred Pittore.
She is survived by her husband of 67 Years Albert Prisco Jr. of Henniker, NH; brother Daniel Pittore of North Reading, MA; brother Arthur Pittore of west Roxbury, MA; Son Albert Prisco III of Goffstown, NH; daughter Leonora Palizzolo and husband William of Hopkinton, NH; son Paul Prisco and wife Tammy of Bridgewater, MA; son Steven Prisco of Stoughton, MA; grandchildren Amanda, Samantha, Michael, William, Michael, James, Lea, Marisa, Angela, Julia, Sandra, Stephen and Matthew and great grandchildren Paige, Archer, Layla, Summer, Sienna, Jameson, Evelyn, Olivia, Tessa Elaina and Blake.
Honor her legacy by treating others with compassion and always seeing the best in everyone.
