Adele E. (Grablowski) Orlando, 89, of Cheshire, formerly of Southington, widow of the late Leonard M. Orlando, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Cheshire Regional Health Center after a brief illness. Adele was born in Waterbury, CT on March 3, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Martha Annie (Danieleski) Grablowski. Adele was very well known in the town of Cheshire where she made many friends as a waitress where she worked for over 25 years at Paul's Restaurant. She was an avid cook and baker who loved to share her delicious food with her family and friends. Adele loved to walk, especially with her four legged friend, Mikey, who was her constant furry companion. Adele is survived by her two children; her daughter, Patty Clavet and her husband Richard of Cheshire, and by her son, Richard Picone of New Paltz, NY. Adele is also survived by her granddaughter Rachel Shampang of Cheshire and by her two great-grandsons, Jacob and Jeffrey Shampang also of Cheshire. She is also survived by her sister, Frances Mantiglia and her husband Charles of Hamden and Chuck and Cheri of Hamden, and by her brother, Michael Grablowski and his wife Linda of Oregon, and also by her special friend Holly Devylder and her partner, Steve Holland and their little girls. Adele was predeceased by her sister, Martha Frantz. A service for Adele will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11:30 AM in the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Street, Southington, CT 06489. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the funeral home prior to the service.
