Adelaide was born July 18, 1931 in Stockton and peacefully passed away on June 7, 2022 at the age of 90. She attended local schools and graduated from Lodi High School in 1950, Soon after graduating, she started working at Sears, Roebuck & Company and retired after 40 years of service. Adelaide was active in the Independent Order of Foresters Sorority, traveling to many states, and working to educate young adults on the benefits of volunteering. She was also a member of the "Sears Pioneers" retirement group, and member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Adelaide was a great cook and loved to be in her garden. Anyone that knew her was drawn to her kindness. She would go out of her way to help anyone, and always made sure they knew she cared.Adelaide was preceded in death by her father, Victor Del Prete; mother, Mary Del Prete; and brother, Adolph Del Prete. She is survived by her niece, Monica and Scott LoBue of Acampo, and many extended family members.Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 16th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 5882 N. Ashley Lane, Stockton, CA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15th from 3 to 6 p.m, followed by a rosary from 6 to 8 p.m. at Collins Family Funeral Home. Committal will be private at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, or Delta Humane Society of Stockton.
