Aaron K. Wright, age 49, residing in South Bend passed away at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. He was born August 9, 1973 in Michigan City, IN; a son of Larry K. & Phyllis A. (Mullins) Wright, and has lived in South Bend since 1996, coming from Hampton, VA, and Michigan City, IN.
Aaron has been employed at the University of Notre Dame for the past 18 years as Security Manager in the Information Systems Department. He has also served with the United States Navy for 24 years.
Aaron was married to Kristina Geissler for over 25 years and in that marriage they welcomed and raised three children, Ryne Wright, Angelica English, and Claire Wright, all of South Bend. Also surviving is his mother, Phyllis A. Pytynia of South Bend; and two brothers, Robert King of Bristol, IN; and James Pytynia of Elkhart, IN. Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Larry Wright, grandparents, Charles and Myrtle Marquis, Robert Wright, and Uncle Bryan Wright.
Aaron received his BA in Business Administration-Management from Trine University, and an Associate in Business Administration from Ivy Tech Community College. He was a member of First Brethren Church of South Bend. He volunteered with the LaVille Soccer Team, Boy Schouts and at First Brethren Church of South Bend.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at First Brethren Church, 4909 South Ironwood Drive, South Bend. Rev. Larry Baker and Rev. Fred Youngen will officiate. Graveside services with military honors will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton, IN where Aaron will be laid to rest next to his father, Larry.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 5, 2022 at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, and one hour prior to the services on Tuesday, September 6 at the church.
