Aaron Lewis Dodd, 42, beloved son and brother, joined his father, the Rev. Robert Dodd, in heaven on Sept. 13, 2021 after an eleven-month battle with aggressive colon cancer. He passed away at home with loved ones surrounding him. Raised in a Methodist parsonage since birth on March 9, 1979, he lived with his family in Gibsonville, Stanley, Charlotte, Greensboro, Kannapolis, Belmont and most recently in Matthews. A graduate of A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis, he studied briefly at Pfeiffer College and UNC-Charlotte before earning a certificate at Carolina School of Broadcasting and later, completing studies to become an Emergency Medical Technician. After working in radio production and retail management, he focused on being a companion and chauffeur for his father. He is survived by his mother, Ann Dodd, his brother Justin Dodd (Katie) of Richmond, Kentucky, his maternal aunt Valerie Yost (Richard) of Orlando, Florida and a number of cousins, as well as his honorary siblings, Luma Osmani (Arsim Marke), Drita Osmani, Burim Osmani (Nimete) and their sons, Aferdita Rama (Bujar) and their sons, Sara Nodine (Scott) and their son. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 2pm at Cleveland Memorial Cemetery, in Shelby, NC. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:00 pm on Monday, Sept 20, 2021 at Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home, 4715 Margaret Wallace, Road, Matthews, NC.
