A. David "Bud" Nicholson age 76 of Bedford passed away on July 31, 2020 at 12:24 AM at St. Vincent-Dunn Hospital in Bedford. He was born in Heltonville on November 16, 1943 to Ambrose David Nicholson and Anna M. (Boone) Nicholson. David was a graduate of Heltonville High School and was an US Air Force veteran. Bud retired from GM Powertrain in Bedford in 2004, he was a member of the U.A.W Local #440, he also was member of the Bedford American Legion Post#33, the Bedford Boat & Sportsman Club and was a former member of the NLCS School Board.
David married Linda Robbins on June 3, 1994 and she survives.
Bud enjoyed family, friends, and cruising the country in his truck and stopping to visit friends, he loved animals, and telling stories, he will be greatly missed by his family.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Nicholson, one son, Tony Nicholson and his wife Lori, one daughter, Yvonne Doane, three grandchildren, Alex Nicholson, Macee Nicholson, and Megan (Colin) McClain, two great grandchildren, Ameina and Roman, one step-son, Travis Bailey, six step-grandchildren, Selena Bailey, Jadelyn, Drew, Zaryn, Bryanna, and Willow, three brothers, John "Bucky" Nicholson, Randy (Beth) Nicholson, Stanley "Buster" (Mattie) Nicholson, seven sisters, Paula Bartlett, Luanne Robbins, Donna (Bill) Bilbrey, Becky (Jim) Hicks, Vickie (Butch) Stidam, Beth Wubben, and Gina (Dean) Smith, two sisters-in-law, Andi Nicholson and Vivian Nicholson, his former wife, Joyce Nicholson
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Kenneth "Butch" Nicholson and Stephen Nicholson, two sisters, Judy Todd, and Micky Nicholson, one stepson, Michael Bailey, Jr.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday August 5, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Cresthaven Funeral Home, with Bro. Michael Nicholson, officiating, military rites will be given by the Bedford American Legion Post #33
Visitation will be on Tuesday August 4, 2020 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Cresthaven Funeral Home in Bedford.
