A. Elinor Baker Harris, wife of Hershel Lee Rodden and Frank H. Harris, of Perryville, MD, affectionately known to many as "Nunnie", passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023 at her residence. Born January 14, 1935 in Port Deposit, MD, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Cornelius and Keturah Ann McCain Baker.
Elinor was a member of the Principio United Methodist Church of Perryville, MD. She was formerly employed as an Administrative Assistant by the State of Maryland.
Elinor is survived by her son, Michael Lee Rodden (Lynne); daughters, Patricia Ann Rodden Funk (Alan) and Susan Pamela Rodden; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Ethel Baker Atkinson (Kirkwood) and Virginia Baker Coleman (William); sisters-in-law, Jean Baker and Anna Baker; many loving nieces and nephews, including her devoted niece, Nadine Thomas.
In addition to her parents, Elinor was preceded in death by her brothers, Russell Baker, Raymond Baker, Wilbur Baker, Walter Baker, George Baker, John R. Baker and Robert Baker; sisters, Elsie Vandenburg and Edith Moulton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Principio United Methodist Church in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, March 10, 2023, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of the Principio United Methodist Church of Perryville, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
