Roger D. Wilson
So many things to do, so little time to do them.
Artist, designer, mechanical engineer, Roger was on the Space Shuttle Challenger team, and was instrumental in getting the American B-1 Bomber built.
Not one to handle money too well, he grew up during the end of the Great Depression, knowing how to make his own toys, living with a father who worked away from home, and a younger brother with polio, which affected the whole family.
He served in the USAF for 3 years, occasionally getting into trouble but mostly doing his duty in maintenance and operations. He was a brilliant artist with an uncanny ability to draw an object unconventionally and suddenly place the final line to complete a comprehensive illustration.
A fondness for Japanese landscaping led to the business of Roger~Moto, designer and architect, with several clients in Southern California.
He loved to drive, took risks, and perhaps his favorite experience was driving, and winning, as race with his own car, Lil' Thunder. He was a prominent member of the Opel GT Club and is known as far as Germany for his innovative designs and dedication to the brand.
He will be missed, and often remembered.
